What you should know about Carinya Christian School
At Carina, Jesus Christ the creator of the world is central to everything that is done in the school. Each child is to develop, use and enjoy their talents and abilities for Jesus. The talents and abilities of each kid are to be valued equally in the classroom and in the school community. Jesus is therefore central to the way Carina understands the kid as a learner in the educational process. At Carina our teaching methods are based on an accepting of the learner, the curriculum and the teaching process, informed by what we know about Jesus Christ. To think of themselves as learners, studying and enjoying the world created by Jesus. To seek delight in the abilities they have been given and appreciate what they can accomplish with those abilities (to seek the reward in the task). That means students are to look for any reward in faithfully completing all tasks to the superior of their abilities. Our beginning aim for every kid is that they know and love the Lord Jesus Christ and serve Him in their learning and their life. But at Carina, while the teachers want my child to be a good student the superior student he can be they want more than that. Students from the identical family are taught in the one school, sometimes by the equivalent teachers who taught their parents, teachers who are interested in the total family. God is taken seriously in so many parts of the school's life, not impartial in formal classroom teaching. Education at Carina, in all its aspects, has now become so imperative to us, that fees are just about the final thing we think about when we think of the school. From Christ and For Him: Education for the sincere world! Students are taught that every skill, every aptitude and every gift they have, has arrive From Christ and is to be old For Him. Parents really matter at Carina and sharing with parents in the education of their children is rightly seen as a privilege for all staff, and one which we receive very seriously. The motto From Christ and For Him follows naturally from the logo: that every ability, every talent and every opportunity we appreciate as individuals comes From Christ and so everything we do in our learning and our life must be for Him. Children of all ages are taught that everything they learn about, is the work of the Lord Jesus Christ, as the Creator of the universe. They are also taught that every skill, every skill and every gift they have, has come to them From Christ and is to be worn For Him. Parents really matter at Carina Gunnedah: sharing with parents in the education of their children is seen as a privilege for all staff at Carina and one which we receive seriously. Must embrace the subsequent practices as fundamental to the educational process in the teaching of children at Carina children are to be taught and valued as individuals, made in the image of God, on purpose and for a purpose. The talents and abilities of each kid are regarded as courteous gifts from the Lord Jesus and are to be valued equally in the classroom and in the school community. Children are to be intrinsically motivated, taught to find reward in using the abilities they have been given by the Lord: in the process and as an outcome of their learning, they are encouraged to seek the reward in the task and not in extrinsic prizes, reward or public recognition: coming first and beating classmates are not worthy reasons for children to learn. Children are expected to prosper and use their abilities and do their best in whatever they do: they are encouraged to be faithful.
It was started by apprehensive Christian parents who wanted their children's school to reinforce what they taught at home about the supremacy of Christ in all of life. The school is one of the ministries of the church, in partnership with parents and other school supporters.
